I’ve been working with Jan Pedersen since I bought my first boat which was in 1987. Now, I own two boats: a Swan 36 and a Swan 40. The 36 we use for coastal cruising; the 40 is for offshore transit and offshore racing. In fact, she circled the Atlantic in 2003. Jan and Bayview have provided each and every one of my sail, canvas, and rigging needs for both boats. Cruising or racing, Jan and his crew have provided stellar products and stellar service - consulting in depth with me on every item, fixing anything that went wrong, and always standing behind their work. All in all, I couldn’t be happier with Bayview’s products, or with their work ethics. They’re the best!
"Windalier" has had considerable success racing under both PHRF and the Classic Racing Formula (CRF) since her restoration in 1995. An important part of the restoration was the design of a new rig and sail plan supported by a carbon fibre mast. Bayview Sails was selected to build the sails -- mainsail, mizzen, mizzen staysail, genoa (1 & 2), spinnaker (2), and storm sails. The sails have been tested under all conditions, from a gale in the Halifax Race in 1999, to light air racing along the coast of Maine. They have proven to be fast and durable. In addition to the design and construction of the sails the service provided has been excellent.
Quality products, great service and reasonable prices will always creat a loyal customer. From masthead to waterline, every stitch of canvas (and much of the rigging) on my boat is by Bayview. And the next time I need something, I won't bother looking anywhere else. | |||||||
